This past few weeks I’ve been sooooo obsessed with Wet N Wild Megalast Lipsticks! It all started when I was browsin’ through their products during one of my shopping trips and I came across Think Pink. I was like, “Oh mama, that is a nice shade.” I took it home with me with 299.00 credited from my account. So then I started sharing it via my social networking sites, making tutorials using it and the likes. I got a ton of comments from my subscribers abroad how expensive WnW products are in our country. They told me I could get 2 lippies for the price of 299 abroad! I was totally bummed.
A few days after, I was contacted by this online shop www.fb.com/thenotsojunkeeshop and they expressed their desire to send me 3 WnW lippies as they have seen my YouTube video! I was overjoyed. Thanked them and waited for the package like a kid waiting for her gifts for Christmas (I’m kidding, that’s overreacting. Haha!)
I study marketing, and I’ve learned TONS of things about it. Hit the market where they’re weakest/vulnerable. And by that I mean seeing www.lazada.com.ph’s ads on YouTube sidebars. And you know what’s even worse? They showed WnW lipsticks on the ad. I resisted, but somehow my mouse hovered on the ad and the next thing I know…I was on Lazada’s site!!!
Now tell me, WHO would let this pass?
“50% OFF WET N WILD LIPSTICKS! FREE SHIPPING!”
Oh mama. Everything was on stock. PHP145.00/lipstick. I plunged in and bought two! Cherry Bomb and Vamp It Up. Hey, that’s 290.00 for 2 lipsticks! I SAVED A TON compared to my first purchase at the mall!
What’s great about Lazada is you CAN choose to pay on delivery. Meaning you don’t have to use your credit card/Paypal to pay online if you do not wish. (Lesser hassle/worry of being scammed or something)
Some people from FB and Twitter have told me how Lazada gained a lot of negative reviews. I didn’t read those reviews because I believe everyone/thing should be given the benefit of the doubt for the first time. I placed my order on August 1, 2012 (Wednesday) and the package arrived August 4, 2012.
The Lazada delivery man texted me (in a jejemon way, but it’s all goooooood) telling me that he’s on his way. I felt kinda guilty since it was already raining SOOOO hard that time. He showed up at our doorstep wearing a huge Lazada raincoat, soaking wet. Handed me my package and let me sign a few papers before leaving.
It only took 3 days, baby. What a smooth transaction. Free shipping even!
By the way, I wasn’t, in any way sponsored by Lazada to write about them. This is an honest opinion coming from a consumer.
Let’s go back. Remember the online shop who contacted me? The three lipsticks from them arrived the same day! (August 4) I didn’t have to pay for anything as these were sponsored.
Looking at all 5 lipsticks, I remembered I still have one WnW lipstick in my lipstick storage from my good friend Krysha from YT (which is my very first WnW lipstick ever)
So, on August 6, 2012 (Monday) I did a swatch video on all the Megalast lipsticks that I had.
